Revolução is a brilliant and unique film that records the posters, wall paintings and political paintings in the streets of Lisbon in the aftermath of the 25 April revolution. Hatherly takes a creative stance with respect to the distinctive features of urban culture at a particularly significant moment in Portuguese history.

Ana Hatherly

In her work and artistic activity, Ana Hatherly marks out an authorial space that encompasses and cuts across the domains of literature and the visual arts. A poet, essayist and visual artist, she has also completed a number of film projects exploring language and visuality.

The 9th Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival is carried out in the context of “Cinephilia in the New Age II” which is funded by the European Union — European Regional Development Fund (Operational Programme ROP ATTIKI of NSRF 2014-2020). All actions are carried out under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
