The first part of a trilogy by Philippe Grandrieux (along with Murderess and Unrest), whose common thread is anxiety, consists of a performance, a film and an installation. Its cinematic instalment is, according to the director’s own words, “The story is woven with fear, sexuality and an animalism that mutes edgy nerves… In the heart of the forest an ancient archaic humanity rehearses scenes taken from a ceremony. It is a dream, or a nightmare. The film is created from an anatomy of affective and anxious intensities, from which the narration unfolds.” A genuine erotic experience about the plasticity and discomfort of the flesh.

The 9th Athens Avant-Garde Film Festival is carried out in the context of “Cinephilia in the New Age II” which is funded by the European Union — European Regional Development Fund (Operational Programme ROP ATTIKI of NSRF 2014-2020). All actions are carried out under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
